The Land

So anyway, we stayed in the church for about 3 weeks, at which point murv cut his left pointer finger and severed the tendon, rendering his hand pretty much useless for the next couple months. Needless to say the trade for renovation on the church became a non-option and we were once again...looking for another place to live.
About this time we were invited to a community meeting about sustainable living at the local Whatever Coffee Shop in town. At the meeting we were invited by some local people to camp on their land. The next day a new friend I met at a christain recovery program we had just started attending offered us the use of her 24 ft. camping trailer.
We stayed there in that trailer for about 6 weeks, during which time I worked some very odd jobs and we spent time looking at places to rent and land.
Then one day, we happened upon this beautiful 7 acre lot...
We wondered how it would ever be possible to get that land. But we KNEW we wanted it. And by some great miracles, big and small, and after it going under contract with someone else and then falling out, and with the generosity of my dad, we got this land.
This is how it looked when we found it.
